Review: Where the Crawdads Sing

Where the Crawdads Sing Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kya Clark, aka "Marsh Girl", is an enigma in her rural North Carolina coastal town. Having raised herself in the wilds of the marsh, Kya knows all about loneliness and survival. But when Chase Andrews' body turns up dead at the base of an abandoned fire tower, it doesn't take locals long to point fingers at the Marsh Girl. Readers are slowly exposed to Kya's mysterious life as the years leading up to the "murder" unfold before them.

A beautifully written novel that tells a timeless story of family, love, loss, and humanity (at its worse and best).
