Review: The Smell of Other People's Houses

The Smell of Other People's Houses The Smell of Other People's Houses by Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Four stories that are woven together to create a timeless tale. Ruth, Dora, Alyce, and Hank are teens growing up in the wilds of 1970s Alaska, and each has secrets they've tried to keep from everyone they know. Their lyrical tales filled with tragedy, suffering, luck, hope, friendship, family, and love are simply enthralling.

Hitchcock manages to bring each story to life while leaving elements untold, which may leave readers wondering if there's more to come.
